Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage front desk operations efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for medical staff.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with any inquiries regarding their coverage.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Handle medical collections and billing inquiries as needed.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing patient records.
- Assist with medical coding and documentation as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or reception role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor for patient interactions.
- Proficient in medical scheduling software; experience with Dentrix is a plus but not required.
