Job Summary
This role coordinates Survitec Finance systems, core finance data and the approach to reporting against the finance data. It is focused on supporting the automation of transactional Finance processes and an effective self-serve platform for all first line Finance queries and real time reporting needs.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Contributes to the implementation of Finance systems and information strategy
- Works with internal and external resource to meet Finance systems development priorities, delivering to time, quality and budget constraints
- Contributes to policy and procedures for how the business stores, accesses, analyses and reports on its core Finance data, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and business requirements, guidance and best practice
- Helps identify requirements for Finance information systems, frameworks and tools to meet business need. Contributes to the development and implementation of system changes and enhancements to ensure best value from system functionality, excellent user experience and continuous process improvement
- Provides improvements for the efficiency of finance systems, creation and maintenance to increase the value delivered by technology and digital capabilities.
- Recommends and participates in activities related to the functional design, development and maintenance of the digital Finance capabilities within the enterprise architecture
- Works with third party suppliers to develop existing and new functionality to meet internal customer requirements and to keep pace with any external regulation and guidance
- Contributes to opportunities to streamline transactional process through digitisation or improved access to information, analytics and guidance
- Delivers planned changes and enhancements within budget and to plan, with guidance from senior colleagues
- Specifies, develops and tests Finance data collection procedures and tools within key areas to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements
- Provides information and clarification on existing procedures, processes and precedents, to support business leaders and managers in their decision making
- Resolves complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others
