This role plans, directs and coordinates Survitec product storage and distribution operations within a specific business or distribution centre
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manages the transportation of goods and supplies, reviewing and recommending improvements to procedures to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies
- Contributes to the formation of supply chain operational plans aligned to the wider supply chain strategy and local business plans; through specialist expertise and insights, positively challenges strategy to ensure it meets overall customer and Survitec business needs
- Ensures an effective end to end supply chain process that meets all legal, regulatory and Survitec policy requirements; creates and drives continuous improvement method and mindset
- Delivers the local supply chain budget, including any complex analyses on budget progress required for completion; manages activity to budget
- Works with customer facing teams to fully understand demand to optimise current and future customer order fulfilment
- Implements an effective local sales and operational planning (S&OP) process and effective demand and supply planning; ensures accurate and timely forecasting to meet customer demand and supports inventory planning; ensures planning incorporates appropriate product and portfolio review processes to maximise working capital
- Manages and recommends improvements to local replenishment and inventory control processes; identifies issues and solves problems quickly and decisively
- Manages regional warehousing and distribution activity, including selection and management of local third-party distribution partners
- Implements and drives adoption of supply chain information management systems and processes to plan, reviews and report activity and outcomes across the supply cycle; collects and analyses key performance and control information to drive continuous improvement of supply chain processes
- Communicates the actions needed to implement local supply chain strategy and business plan within the team; explains its relationship to the broader Survitec mission, vision and values; motivates people to commit to these actions and to doing extraordinary things to achieve business goals
- Manages and reports on the performance of the supply chain team; sets appropriate performance objectives for team members and holds them accountable for achieving these. Takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team and personal objectives
- Contributes to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs, issues and concerns, and reacting to these by creating and conveying information to promote understanding and commitment
