What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Survitec?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Perform quality audits to assess compliance with quality systems and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Fabricate and maintain inspection fixtures and gauges
- Follow established protocols for quality assurance and control (QA/QC)
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
This person would take care of all incoming inspection of purchased raw materials using an inspection document.
They will record the inspections in an access database as well as our ERP system IFS.
They will also work with the quality engineers when they have a question on the acceptability of the product and with our disposition analyst when things are found defective.
The individual will also monitor the quarantine area at progress warehouse which is owned by the disposition analyst to ensure the inventory is correct for that location.
This person once trained will have support by the quality supervisor, engineers, and the disposition analyst as well as me when they have questions but will mostly work independently so will need to be self-driven to ensure they stay busy and offer their services to help with other quality needs if / when the work is all caught up. Pay will be up to $19 per hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in quality inspection or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with others
