Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Developer with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design, optimization, and maintenance, specifically tailored to support the requirements of a Warehouse Management System (Korber/Highjump). As a key member of our technology team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the database infrastructure that drives our warehouse operations and enhancing their processes to elevate throughputs.
Responsibilities:
- Database Design and Optimization:
- Design, implement, and maintain the database schema for the Warehouse Management System.
- Optimize database performance for high-volume transaction processing and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement database requirements based on WMS needs.
- Query Optimization and Performance Tuning:
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data retrieval and manipulation.
- Monitor and analyze query performance, making recommendations for improvements.
- Implement indexing and other strategies for query optimization.
- Data Integration:
- Work closely with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between the WMS and other enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for data synchronization and migration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
- Warehouse Support Tickets:
- Ensure all support tickets from the warehouse are resolved in a timely manner.
- Investigate into root causes and deploy fixes to production after review.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database schemas, processes, and configurations.
- Generate ad-hoc and regular reports based on WMS data for business stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant internship or work experience.
- Strong understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, and database management.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with specific WMS platforms (e.g., Highjump/Korber, Manhattan Associates).
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Certification in database management or related field is a plus.
