Administers physical therapy treatments as outlined and directed by the Physical Therapist. Carries out treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist.2. Participates in departmental activities to promote continuous quality improvement and maintain productivity at budgeted levels.3. Ensure the best possible care, comfort, and safety of patients undergoing Physical Therapy treatment.4. Prepares, submits, and maintains patient records as appropriate. 5. Supervises patient undergoing Physical Therapy treatments.6. Serves customers, fellow employees and co-workers with courtesy and respect.7. Performs other duties as assigned.Non-Essential Functions:8. Arranges and maintains daily schedule of patients.9. Assists in the maintenance of patient treatment areas, treatment equipment, etc.Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent communication skills; is patient and pleasant, cooperative and courteous, possesses good judgment. Must be skilled in planning and organization.Education:Associate degree from an accredited and approved school of Physical Therapist Assistants. Experience:None required.Certification/Licensure:Maintains current registration as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Kansas.Code Blue Training:A minimum training level of BLS is required.Physical Demands:Has good hearing and vision; is sufficiently mobile to travel throughout the facility; be able to exert 50 pounds of force, either lifting, pushing or pulling. Frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, reaching also required. Occasional kneeling, balancing and crawling required. Requires patient handling. Eye-hand coordination required for use of treatment devices. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. May require working under stressful conditions, such as heavy caseloads and documentation deadlines. Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, hazardous materials, and sharps may occur. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols. The ability to use office equipment such as telephones and copiers is required. Repetitive shoulder, elbow, and wrist movements are required for some treatments. Working Conditions:Must be available to work normal business hours Monday through Friday, and rotating Saturdays and Sundays. Occasionally required to work overtime. Must comply with uniform requirements.This is a position working 10.00 Hours/PeriodThis position requires working Variable HoursPRN or PT 8am-4:30 pm
