We are looking to fill the AGM position in North Conty/San Diego city area. Sushi Lounge San Diego was founded in 2006 as a neighborhood restaurant option offering fresh and innovative sushi in a welcoming, lounge-like atmosphere. Today, Sushi Lounge has grown to three locations and our restaurants and team members have become a part of the communities they serve. Our focus is on the utmost integrity, from the way we choose our ingredients and prepare our food; to the way we treat our team members, guests and community. Our sushi is innovative enough for the most experienced sushi lover, yet accessible to the novice of palates, who can be easily guided by our knowledgeable team.
Our standards are high and we offer a good value with a social atmosphere. We're a place where families, locals and visitors can come to experience our passion for sushi and hospitality.

We are seeking experienced restaurant leaders to join our team who support our culture of innovation, trust, safety, hospitality and community. Successful candidates will be available for assignment in our San Diego County restaurants.

Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager is responsible and accountable for all operational aspects of the restaurant. Overall responsibilities include leadership, development and training of team members and managers; restaurant operations (front and back of the house); financial management including P&L's; sales and revenue; operating standards, policies and procedures; guest satisfaction, marketing, culture; and administrative tasks.

Major Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manages operations including guest service, managers and team members while ensuring the restaurant's standards of quality, service and operations are maintained.
Increases revenue and guest counts by working side by side with the General Manager, Regional Manager, Owner/Founder, and Marketing Team, creating community relationships and building loyal guests.
Manages operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision-making, team support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning, and upholding standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
Responsible for recruiting, selecting, on-boarding, orientating, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and managing team member staff.
Communicates job expectations and enforcing policies and procedures
Identifies operational opportunities to build sales and control costs and assists developing and implementing plans to address opportunities
Maintains positive guest relations by delivering exceptional service, increasing sales and brand awareness.
Monitors and assists in daily, weekly and monthly inventory processes.
Prepares end of shift reports to monitor all financial, inventory and cash-handling aspects of the operations.
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy facility environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with health and legal regulations.
Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Essential Requirements:
High School Diploma required; some college with emphasis on business and hospitality preferred.
A proven drive for quality guest service in the Hospitality Industry.
Stable work history.
High work ethic and integrity.
Ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations in a fast paced environment.
2 - 3 years of experience in a restaurant management position of increasing responsibility in the hospitality industry.
Proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.).
High motivation with strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software and POS required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and assessment skills.
Able to act quickly and decisively.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work irregular hours, nights and weekends, while on your feet.
Ability to demonstrate and teach Sushi Lounge mission and culture.
ServSafe Manager's Certificate.
Responsible Alcohol Service Certification.

Delivery of an exceptional guest experience to our guests.
Highest performance and morale among our team members.
Maintaining a profitable restaurant P&L.
Meeting regularly with General Manager and Owner/Founder to discuss expectations and game plans.
Effectiveness of shift management (guest reviews and feedback, financial reports, break violations, scheduled labor).
Feedback from General Manager and Owner/Founder.
Clear communication and reporting.
