- Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and care.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Manage inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality while minimizing waste.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and accommodating special dietary requests when possible.
- Maintain knowledge of current food trends in the culinary industry to enhance menu offerings.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices.
