Overview
Susquehanna International Group is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our compliance technology team in the Philadelphia office. The compliance technology team develops Surveillance, Monitoring and Reporting Tools for the compliance business community. This team is responsible for designing and developing tools for the oversight of Susquehanna's trading activities across all of our products, including options, equities, futures, fixed income, and many others.
In this role, you will:
- Work with a big data solution that processes and reports data for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Compliance Audit Trail (CAT). CAT is an industry wide regulatory program that links order activity across all US financial exchanges and participants.
- Collaborate with a team of developers, testers and the compliance business community on the following items
- Analyze new CAT reporting requirements and provide requirements to the developers
- Ensure that new Susquehanna business initiatives will be properly CAT reported
- Understand and query the full data pipeline
- Understand the processing phases of the CAT solution
- Work with other teams to identify and remediate any reporting errors
- Assist with regulatory investigations

What we’re looking for
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analysis role in IT environment with management of SDLC projects
- Experience with agile and/or waterfall project management and software development methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or other related discipline
- Knowledge of relational databases (such as Oracle, SQL, MySQL) and the ability to write basic SQL queries
- Basic experience with Python
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills
- Strong planning skills
- Experience working with project tracking systems required; experience with Jira preferred
- Experience within trading companies or other financial institutions is a plus
- Experience with Big Data tools including Hadoop, PySpark, and Hive is a plus
