What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Accounting position at Sussex County Community College?
Sussex County Community College is looking to build a pool of qualified applicants to teach an in-person, on campus, Accounting course(s) in the upcoming semester. However future semesters may require in-person day and evening sections as well as online. The College is seeking Adjunct Instructors for the following Business courses: Accounting Principles 1 (Financial) and Accounting Principles 2 (Managerial).
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree or related degree in Business or related discipline with strong focus on Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations; expertise in teaching, accounting, business, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, online/remote teaching, advanced certifications, or license, and a flexible schedule (morning, afternoon, evening and weekend courses may be available). Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills needed. 3 years of applicable experience and prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
The Learning Management System (LMS) that we use for our online and remote teaching is Canvas. Prior knowledge of Canvas or similar learning platform is preferred. Although not a requirement strong technical and computer proficiency is recommended.
- Prior teaching experience and knowledge of online instruction strongly preferred.
- NJ, NY, and PA residence recommended.
- Availability to travel to campus as necessary.
