- Leading the cafe operations and its overall success for financial performance, environment, employees, shift leaders, and customers.
- Executing training at a high level
- Upholding and enforcing all company policies and procedures, while supporting team members in daily tasks and making our customers feel welcome
- Managing the floor and filling in the floor needs, addressing customer or team concerns, and monitoring adherence to health and safety standards
- Ensuring quality of products and services throughout the brand and location are meeting Mr. West standards
- Managing and leading new employee and manager orientations and training, delegating where appropriate
- Ensuring a culture of positivity and accountability with the front of house team
- Executing the schedule as written
- Ensuring front of house executes high standards for a safe and hospitable customer experience
- Demonstrating excellent hospitality, executing high-quality beverages, and maintaining a continuous quality improvement environment for our patrons
- Validating and completing opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, delegation, accounting, and other checklists
- Keeping and maintaining storage of product through organization, cleanliness, and inventory counts
Qualifications:
- 3 years previous experience in a related management position, leading a team in a high-volume and multi-faceted restaurant
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, bar and wine preferred
- Valid Food Handler and MAST Certification required.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly and professionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi task and organize time with strong attention to detail
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS Work is performed primarily in a cafe setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions. Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift. Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
