Transportation Clerk

We are currently seeking a full time Transportation Clerk to support our terminal office. This position is from 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Duties include:

• Data entry to generate freight manifests
• Scanning BOLS and Delivery Receipts for pre-invoice process
• Check-in/out P&D and Linehaul Drivers
• Ensure shipping documents have correct information; PO numbers, piece counts
• Answering phone
• Identify overages, shortages and damaged freight
• Issue notices of undelivered freight
• Back up support to the PM dispatcher

Experience/Skills:

• Minimum one year customer service, LTL or OS&D experience preferred
• Professional phone etiquette
• Ability to approach workload in a proactive fashion
• Able to handle fast paced environment with attention to detail
• A strong work ethic and team mentality
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
