What are the responsibilities and job description for the 24-25 Transportation Clerk position at Transportation?
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
3. Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suites
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with transportation and student information software
- Experience with time keeping software.
- Experience with payroll processes
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation
JOB GOAL:
To support safe and efficient student transportation to and from school, and for extra and co-curricular activities
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Geocode all students and verify school assignment
- Complete all student routing utilizing automated system
- Verify route accuracy and modify routes as needed to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and best practice for safety
- Complete routing for students attending educational sites out of district
- Assist in maintaining payroll records for staff and submitting reports to Payroll for processing
- Ensure adequate staff assignments for all routes
- Dispatch information to transportation staff
- Prepare monthly and annual reports as requested
- Respond to inquiries from parents, staff, and patrons
- Assist with processing bus conduct reports
- Work as substitute bus para or driver as needed to fulfill the needs of the District
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Director
- Other related duties as assigned by the Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
12 month position, 40 hours per week.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
