Job Opportunity: Supplier Relationship Manager at Suttons International

Salary: $80-$90k
The Role
Responsible for the management of vendors within the USA, ensuring that the companys business requirements are met, considering safety, quality, price and service.
To ensure the continuity supply of essential products, vendors and services, without compromising safety, quality or profitability.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
- Continually review the overall value offered by existing suppliers and when appropriate conduct a Procurement tender following the Procurement tender process.
- Manages the procurement process for both competitive sealed bidding and competitive negotiations, preparing where appropriate award recommendations for consideration by the wider business.
- Ensure balance between sales and supplier payment terms is managed.
- Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers to assess if they can deliver to the required standards in both quality, safety and cost.
- Oversee supplier service contracts, ensuring continued high levels of value and quality in service delivery and compliance with the agreed SLAs.
- Act as an escalation point for the Business and Supplier in the event of concerns, ensuring coordination of resolving parties, effective communication to stakeholders and post incident review.
- Undertaking assurance activities to ensure all controls, processes, documentation, and procedures are reviewed regularly and adhered to.
- To be responsible for internal and third-party service review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality, and processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify improvement opportunities.
- Identify supply chain failings and develop improvement plans to manage risks to the business. Ensure actions plans are followed through to completion in a timely manner.
- Develop robust contingency plans that can be implemented during times of disruption or surge.
- Maintain market awareness to determine market volatility, price trends, availability, alternative products and potential future problems or opportunities & report to key internal stakeholders monthly.
- Seek innovating ways to improve procurement processes.
- To ensure a true business partner approach is adopted by establishing and maintaining effective working relations with internal stakeholders.
- To be an active participant the key stakeholder HOD meetings.
