Receptionist – Part Time / Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist is responsible for answering and transferring all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving information, direction and other appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests and the general public and performing a variety of other clerical duties as assigned.
DESCRIPTION:
Opens and closes the reception desk and properly secures all files, keys and equipment in the office area.
Serve as telephone receptionist for the Property while meeting.
Greet visitors and inform tenants of sign-in procedure.
Receive record, transfer telephone calls to the appropriate parties; take and deliver telephone messages as necessary; acquire in-depth knowledge of community telephone system to effectively utilize system features.
Assist with the property manager process by answering inquiries concerning the Property both over the telephone and in person.
Accepts and records, as directed, all payments, reservations, appointments, and cancellations.
Receives all persons who enter the Property in a courteous manner, informs, guides, directs or otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff or vendors tactfully and congenially to present the best possible image of the Property.
Sort and distribute incoming mail according to Property policy.
Provide typing and/or word processing services for business office correspondence and residents. Assist with other business office functions, e.g., materials preparation, reports, etc.
Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
Any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a receptionist.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English using proper grammar in a pleasant manner.
Working knowledge of Word Perfect and other Microsoft Office applications; ability to type at least 35wpm.
Must be able to create word documents and correspondences using correct grammar and spelling.
Ability to use a personal computer, copy machine, and other office equipment.
Must be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekends as needed
