Job Summary:
The Security Director is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of San Vicente West Village and The Jane Hotel. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills to maintain a secure environment for members, guests, and employees. The Director will oversee security personnel, implement safety protocols, and coordinate emergency responses while ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
General Duties:

Maintain complete awareness of club and hotel standards, scheduled events, house count, hotel and club facilities, services, operating hours, and facility layout.

Maintain a strong lobby presence during peak demand periods and evenings to ensure security and guest/member safety.

Understand fire and emergency plans, departmental rules of conduct, and adhere to established procedures.

Review department logs, hotel/club status, and follow up on necessary actions with all shift agents and third-party security personnel.

Issue keys and equipment to authorized personnel, ensuring accurate records and secure handling.

Develop and implement security training programs for staff to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
Security & Safety:

Verify and document all non-hotel personnel entering through employee entrances per hotel policy.

Supervise the inspection of employee packages and belongings upon entry and exit as per hotel and club policy.

Provide employee and member escorts when necessary and authorize after-hours access to secure areas, ensuring proper documentation.

Oversee and enforce security protocols for all deliveries, especially during non-business hours.

Collaborate with local authorities (police, fire, and emergency services) and ensure compliance with hotel regulations.

Coordinate emergency response procedures, including evacuations and crisis management, as outlined in the departmental manual.

Monitor and manage surveillance camera systems, investigating all alarms and suspicious activities.

Conduct regular patrols of the property with designated equipment, checking all security checkpoints and reviewing logs.

Identify, report, and resolve safety hazards in a timely manner.

Ensure all guest room doors are secured and assist guests with room access according to hotel guidelines.

Challenge suspicious persons on the property and take appropriate action per security protocols.

Investigate and document all security incidents, including theft, lost items, noise complaints, assault reports, and food safety concerns.

Oversee the proper handling, storage, and documentation of all lost and found items for guests, employees, and visitors.

Respond promptly to guest/employee accidents, administer first aid/CPR as needed, and coordinate with emergency medical personnel.

Manage intoxicated guests in accordance with state regulations and hotel policies.

Maintain confidentiality of all security incidents, reports, and hotel documents, sharing information only with authorized personnel.

Manage and maintain the hotel's lock system, overseeing vendor relationships and ensuring security compliance.
Guest Services & Communication:

Foster positive relations with guests and employees, ensuring all security-related interactions are professional and courteous.

Maintain an approachable presence and provide assistance with security-related concerns as needed.

Answer departmental telephone calls within two rings, using proper etiquette.

Communicate effectively via radio with designated hotel personnel, ensuring clarity and efficiency in messaging.

Address and resolve guest complaints involving security concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.

Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of security department equipment, supplies, and work areas.

Complete and document all security-related reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain detailed daily logs and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Observe and report any incidents, safety hazards, or security concerns to the Managing Director.

Preferred Qualifications:

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
