Transportation Coordinator (Day Program)

Social Vocational Services is looking for a motivated, passionate, and professional individual for our entry level Transporation Coordinator position.

Social Vocational Services(SVS) is a state-wide non-profit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This position is currently based in Salinas with a service area of Salinas, Marina, and Soledad. This position includes mileage.

This position provides coordination of all daily transportation needs of SVS Programs within that area.

Required hours are 7:00a – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday and is in-person.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train and evaluate SVS drivers
• Establish and maintain SVS vehicle service, repair and rental accounts
• Arrange and coordinate delivery of vehicles as needed for smooth program operations
• Schedule and monitor vehicle service and repair
• Prepare monthly vehicle expenditure, mileage, fuel and other requested reports
• Investigate vehicle accidents and complete documentation within specified time
• Assist programs with efficiency in program van usage and coordination of routes

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Some knowledge of vehicle mechanics, specifications and maintenance is highly valued
• Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively.
• Must be 25 years old (required to drive rental vehicles)

Must have a California driver’s license. Ability to pass health screening, including lifting and TB tests, and fingerprint clearance through DOJ and FBI is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
