Swan Aquatics is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and friendly Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for all customers, vendors and staff members. This individual will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment, managing administrative tasks, handling and depositing funds and ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk.
Job Duties
- Supervisor on Duty when FS & AFS & LC are not on site
- Conducts and leads in-service training for Front Desk Clerks
- Directly oversee Front Desk Leads and indirectly Front Desk Clerks
- Oversee Front Desk staff including but not limited to scheduling, training, in-servicing, personal issues/concerns, employee productivity and progressive discipline. All training and team branding is based upon Swan Aquatics criteria.
- Manage by walking around - at least 3 times per hour, walk the pool deck looking for customer concerns or problems to solve
- Opening and closing daily program procedures including but not limited to completed Daily Tasks Sheets.
- Training new hires and supervises in the operations that are executed during swim lessons such as check in and attendance logs.
- Answering incoming calls and train staff to answer the phones professionally, answering questions or concerns.
- Familiarity with facility hours, fees and events.
- Helping with facility programming and events.
- Create documents as needed for facility operations
- First point of contact for Front Desk compliments/concerns/complaints including handling swim lesson transfers or refunds.
- Interacts directly with program participants and parents/guardians.
- Maintains an impeccably clean front desk environment as well as managers office and lifeguard room.
- Notifies Facility Manager of any inventory needs to include stationary supplies or front desk needs.
- All other duties as assigned.
Pay rate and work hours: $18.50/hr, seasonal full time. Schedule will vary to include weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Associates degree or higher
- Have at least 1 year of management experience
- Demonstrate paramount cash handling and reconciliation skills
- Enjoy working with people and understand the art of exceptional customer service
- Professional, clean and appropriate appearance and mature demeanor
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure without oversight
- Ability to work with, manage, lead, coach and reprimand youth staff
- Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
- The position works in a wide variety of environments including both a typical office as well as an outdoor aquatic program-oriented environment.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
