Integrated Logistic Support Lead for MOD Trinity project
Christchurch, Dorset
3 days in the office (Tues, Wed, Thu), 2 days remote
Role is inside IR35
Duration to 31st August 2025 (might be extended)
Rate – £60 per hour PAYE plus holiday and pension.
There might be some flexibility on the rate for the right candidate with SC Clearance.
37 hour week (7.4 hours per day)
Candidates must have experience in the defence and electronic industries. Candidates with existing SC clearance is highly desirable however we can start someone on a BPSS (but they must be UK National and British born for Trinity project)
Role Description
Reports to Deputy EM
Lead for ILS activities.
Main POC for ILS both internally and for Customer liaison
Has ownership of the Reliability and Maintainability analysis, predictions and planning around spares and repairs, while meeting relevant mandates and statutory requirements
Responsible for input to and coordination of ILS activities throughout programme.
Manage ILS Solutions for:
- Product Support Management
- Design Interface
- Sustaining Engineering
- Supply Support
- Maintenance Planning and Management
- Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T)
- Support Equipment
- Technical Data
Key activities
Create and maintain ILS documentation as required. For example:
- GFx Plan
- Supportability Analysis Plan
- Disposal Plan
Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) Plan
- Obsolescence Management Plan
Plan and coordinate Log Demo
- For initial Equipment Deliveries
- For Armoured Variants
Provide ILS support as required during the OSM phase
- Support incident sentencing boards
- Support scoping and costing of proposal work
- Attend working groups as required
- Provide CLS reports as required for programme reports
Skills required
Analysing and allocating specification requirements;
Writing specifications;
Reliability analysis and prediction;
Maintainability analysis and prediction;
Planning and running maintainability/testability demonstrations – including generation of plans & reports;
Preparation of Logistic Information Repository (LIR) / Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR);
Preparation of ILS plans, analysis reports and associated documentation;
Preparation of ILS bid documentation;
Level of Repair Analysis (LoRA);
Spares and repairs modelling;
Knowledge & experience of Technical Publications, both AESPs & IETPs;
Experience / knowledge of ILS / RM&T activities & associated processes/standards;
Security Clearance
