Child Welfare Specialized Domestic Violence Advocate

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Relevant work experience and college experience may be considered. Experience working with children and teenagers is required. Must be competent in Microsoft Offices, possess good work composition skills, demonstrate initiative, have interpersonal skills, and be an excellent communicator. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of current automobile insurance, and be able to lift 25 pounds.

This is a full-time position- 40 hours per week. The Child Welfare Specialized DV Advocate represents clients’ needs and Agency interest to referral sources, DCFS, the judicial system and governmental agencies. The successful candidate will attend court dates and other staffing on behalf of the client. This person is responsible for conducting parenting groups on-site and virtually as well as speaking in the school systems within the 16-county service region.

Background Checks: Employment is contingent on successful background checks through DCFS and the Illinois State Police.
