What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative/Floater position at Swanson Center?
SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of routine clerical duties related to answering phones, enrolling clients, collection of demographic information, collecting payments, assisting staff and clients and other duties pertinent to the operation of a major program at both Michigan City and LaPorte locations.
QUALIFICATIONS/DEGREE:
Minimum high school education required and one year additional education/experience desired. Must be knowledgeable of general office procedures, recent call center experience, proficient computer skills, appointment scheduling for multiple providers and have standard office equipment skills. Must have a congenial personality and communicate well. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides coverage for other team members during their absence.
2. Answers and screens incoming calls and walk-ins to determine nature of request, routes messages or requests for assistance to appropriate staff.
3. Schedules appointment for clients and maintains computer schedules.
4. Secures financial information for purposes of client registration.
5. When instructed, scans correspondence, financial information, insurance cards, ID’s and any other information required into CareLogic document library.
6. Collects and encourages payments, enters payment in the computer system, and issues receipts.
7. Greets visitors and clients with the highest degree of courtesy.
8. Completes daily cash transmittal sheets and makes copies of all checks received and credit card receipts or completes the second count.
9. Performs light to medium data entry.
10. Sorts and distributes mail when necessary.
11. Completes financial interviews.
12. Performs other related duties as requested.
13. Is able to accommodate evening shifts and assignment at both Swanson Center locations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, clinical records, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, mean, mode and median, ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
