The District Manager is responsible for achieving optimum financial results for the district by maximizing top-line sales potential and ensuring superior service to our customers. Job Description
The District Manager is responsible for achieving optimum financial results for the district by maximizing top-line sales potential and ensuring superior service to our customers. This position manages the sales plans and objectives, overall merchandising, operations, training and employee development.
**Must be based out of New York City**
Profile
Responsibilities:
- Manage a district with volume of 9 million and supervise approximately 11 stores
- Responsible for the profitability of all stores, increase sales/profits and control store expenses
- Recruitment and retention of top talent
- Focuses on multi-unit management and supervises areas of the store including: customer service, human resources, loss prevention and financial results
- Conduct store visits to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company programs and standards
- Think strategically and understand the business
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit experience in a specialty retail environment
- Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop and promote quality people and create a team environment
- Proactive and creative problem solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Energetic, results oriented and competitive with a drive to succeed
- Strong financial acumen and proficient computer skills
- Ability to travel up to 75% is a must
