Diesel Repair and Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on a variety of industrial equipment. This role requires a keen understanding of schematics, hydraulics, and automotive repair, as well as hands-on experience with heavy duty truck and air brake systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
• Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair hydraulic systems and components, ensuring they meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members, as well as work independently, to complete repairs in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
• Solder electrical connections as needed for various vehicle systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or in a similar role within the automotive repair industry.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to diesel engines and industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• Willing to travel/be gone for 2 to 4 days occasionally.
• Good driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
