Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on a variety of industrial equipment. This role requires a keen understanding of schematics, hydraulics, and automotive repair, as well as hands-on experience with heavy duty truck and air brake systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair hydraulic systems and components, ensuring they meet safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members, as well as work independently, to complete repairs in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
- Solder electrical connections as needed for various vehicle systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or in a similar role within the automotive repair industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to diesel engines and industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Willing to travel/be gone for 2 to 4 days occasionally.
- Good driving record.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
