In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst in Richmond, VA.
The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible to support the preparation and analysis of financial statements (balance sheet and income statement) for the US Division for the actual and budget reporting to PMI corporate finance. This position is also responsible to ensure all reporting requirements and additional information (schedules, complementary reports) to be submitted achieving completion, acquire and timeliness targets define by the company and finance organization.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform monthly reporting activities of actual results for Swedish Match USA legal entities, including reconciliation from local ERP to local reporting and corporate financial reporting systems
- Execute integrity checks to verify all financial statements are accurate
- Execute and maintain finance local department principles & practices including SOX Controls.
- Support the consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual submission of schedules and variance analysis reporting for all Swedish Match Legal entities for US market
- Support Financial Planning & Analysis team in Rolling forecast and OB reporting related activities
- Support Financial Reporting team with local statement requirements & reporting checks related to reporting of legal entities results
- Assist in the update local ERP system master data as required per business dynamics
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. Some public accounting experience and/or CPA desired.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of experience with focus on financial reporting and analysis is required.
SKILLS:
- Strong accounting and analytical skills, to be able to adhere to tight deadlines with strong attention to details
- Experience in Accounting, Budget & Reporting, Business Planning and / or Operations Finance is preferred
- Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and SOX controls
- Intermediate level of Excel
- Intermediate level of rest MS Office package (power point, word, etc.)
- Working knowledge of reporting tools is a plus
