What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Shuttle and Facilities Support position at Sweet Express LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Shuttle drivers and staff between hotels, the main terminal, and repair shops.
- Confirming that all passengers are present, and recording no-shows.
- Recording and reporting all major accidents and incidents to your supervisor.
- Checking that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the shuttle van is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
- Observing all relevant traffic and safety laws.
- Provides general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision),
- including patching, painting, hardware repairs and other repair/replacement work as
- required.
- Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance.
- May be assigned to perform tasks including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping,
washing, polishing and dusting floors, carpet, walls, windows, and doors; trash and
recycling removal; cleaning restrooms; stairwells, offices and other areas as required.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills to interact with passengers and provide timely follow up regarding transportation demands and other assignments.
- Chaffeurs license designation.
- Previous experience driving groups of people preferred.
- Able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Experience making general building repairs and performing grounds maintenance preferred.
- Amicable and optimistic disposition.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Sit for extended periods
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Able to visually identify hazards while driving
- Able to hear and talk with passengers
- Occasional bend, climb, reach, squat, and grasp to maintain vehicle, drive and assist passengers
- ability to use senses including hearing, vision and scent to diagnose issues
- Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment
- Work involves regular exposure to unusual elements, such as oil, grease, diesel fuel, gasoline, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noise
