Food Runner Duties and Checklist
- Cut all herbs and lemons for Expo and Self Service Station.
- Fill all bottles (chocolate sauce, vinaigrette, coulis, etc.) before end of shift
- Polish all silverware at the beginning and end of your shift. Place and wrap silverware inside the paper napkin.
- Keep Expo Station clean and organized throughout service.
- Sweep dining room and patio area on an hourly basis.
- Wipe down all tables and chairs after each guest use.
- Bus tables as soon as they become available in a safe manner.
- Scrape excess food from plates into trash to facilitate dishwasher's job, and keep the dishwasher area clean.
- Keep front door and mirror looking clean at all times (beginning and end of shift, and as necessary).
- Keep Self Service Station fully stocked (i.e. cups, sugars, straws, napkins, etc.).
- Keep all numbers in numerical order and ready to be returned to cashier.
- Reset" your station, meaning to clean countertop, all refrigerators and freezers in arms distance. Refill all items at the station (i.e. garnishes, herbs, sauces, spring mix, torch etc.)
- Pick-up table numbers with the Eiffel tower as soon as you serve the last item ordered.
- Interact with guests (i.e. ask if food quality is good, any comments or questions) and notify the Manager on Duty (MOD) of any concerns or complaints.
