What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Sweet Pea Learning Center?

What we're looking for:
We are looking for a creative, flexible, positive leader to join our team in our Toddler classroom.
At Sweet Pea Learning Center we value the whole child, this includes superior nutrition, early learning, art projects, and lots of active play. We need someone to help us to create the most educationally stimulating environment as possible.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to lead a classroom with up to 8 children, with a team of up to 2 teachers
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Supervise the activities of an aide assigned to his/her group
- Enjoy engaging with children everyday
AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college or university in early childhood education OR
- A one year state or nationally recognized credential in Infants and/or toddlers curriculum OR
- At least 750 hours of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable group care program, in the care of Infant and/or toddlers OR
- Completion of 10 credits (semester system) or 15 credits (quarter system) of training at a college or university in early childhood education AND at least six months of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable group care program, in the care of Infants and/or toddlers
PREFERRED QUALITIES:
- Completed OCC approved health and safety training
- Completed OCC approved safe sleep training as well
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with parents, staff, and Directors
- Ability to implement company policies and procedures with staff and parents
- Has a firm grasp of each and every child's developmental level, abilities, allergies, and overall daily routine
- Able to organize information, lists, and organize classroom areas/supplies
- Able to manage and execute the flow of our day
- Minimum of 1 year commitment to position
Applicants must be available to work an 8 hour shift during the following hours: Monday- Friday 7:30am-5:30pm
