Job Posting: Facilities Manager
The Impact: The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility, directly impacting the efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance of our cultivation environment. By maintaining optimal environmental conditions and overseeing essential equipment, this role significantly contributes to our mission of operational excellence and sustainable growth.
The Role:
- Conduct daily reviews of the Building Management System to identify and address any abnormalities proactively.
- Perform daily checks of critical environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, light intensity, and CO2 levels), ensuring alignment with specified targets for plant growth cycles.

In coordination with the Construction Project Manager, set up and launch MaintainX, a comprehensive facilities maintenance program.
- Regularly update and maintain comprehensive logs detailing equipment status, environmental conditions, and troubleshooting efforts, communicating weekly summaries to management.
- Organize all facilities related materials, tools, and equipment to meet the Sweetspot and ISO standards.
- Manage daily inspections and routine maintenance of key facility equipment, including HVAC systems, irrigation systems, lighting, fans, and related infrastructure.
- Schedule and perform timely filter replacements for HVAC and irrigation systems, maintaining detailed records and inventory controls.
- Coordinate weekly cleaning schedules and delegate tasks effectively to maintain cleanliness across all facility areas, including restrooms, kitchens, offices, break areas, and common spaces.
- Oversee facility janitorial and maintenance supplies, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and manage procurement processes.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for facility services such as landscaping, snow removal, waste management, CO2 tank services, and specialized trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security).
- Perform daily perimeter inspections to ensure security and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct and document required safety checks, including annual fire extinguisher inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance in waste disposal practices.

What You Bring:
- Experience in equipment maintenance, environmental control systems, and vendor management.
- Proficiency with inventory management and detailed record-keeping.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards relevant to facility management and cultivation practices.
- Ability to lead teams effectively in daily and weekly maintenance tasks.
- Basic technical skills sufficient for routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience working within an ISO certified facility.

The salary range for the role is $70,000 to $90,000 USD.
