Production Assistant

The Production Assistant (PA) is responsible for supporting all elements of production to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment while upholding the company’s quality standards, commitment to a safe, clean and organized work environment, and compliance as a certified organic coffee processing facility.

The PA has an above-average energy level and “can-do” attitude, and is always willing to support any function of the company as needed. They’re committed to cultivating healthy and positive working relationships with their co-workers, customers, and all other company stakeholders. They are aligned with and support the company’s core values, purpose, and obligations as a USDA certified organic coffee company and B Corp, and as a member of Cooperative Coffees, the Fair Trade Federation, and the Specialty Coffee Association of America.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Process and fulfill wholesale and online retail orders.

· Maintain a clean and organized facility.

· Support production supply inventory management.

· Perform other miscellaneous production-related functions based on company need.

· Learn and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all applicable Food Safety (FSMA), Organic Processing, and OSHA requirements.

· Learn, understand, and be able to explain the Company’s purpose, values, and business model from crop to cup.

Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent professional experience.

· Professional, organized, strong work ethic, and detail-oriented with an unflagging commitment to consistency, follow-through, and time management.

· Self-directed, self-starting, and able to work under pressure.

· Good written and oral communication skills.

· Enjoys working as part of a team.

· Proficient using computer, internet, email. Familiarity with Google Suite is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

· Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Must be able to operate production equipment upon successful completion of training.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

· Must be eligible to work in the United States.

· Must pass a background check.

· Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
