Custodian

Swet Club is a private member's club that provides a unique and inclusive space where members can experience unforgettable events in an atmosphere of fun, freedom, and connection. We are seeking a Custodian to help us create a clean, comfortable, welcoming, and safe environment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the premises. Custodians will perform a variety of tasks related to cleaning and maintenance to ensure that all areas on the premises exceed the company's cleanliness and sanitization standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general housekeeping and minor maintenance throughout the premises.
• Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum all floors; perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, and buffing floors as needed.
• Thoroughly dust, wipe down, and sanitize all surfaces, including but not limited to, counters, furniture, windowsills, and fixtures.
• Empty trash receptacles and bins, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Periodically change light bulbs, paint walls/surfaces, and replace air filters in the HVAC systems.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Request supplies and equipment from appropriate personnel as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment when performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Respond to inquiries from staff and customers in a courteous and prompt manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior custodial and/or maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial setting.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in floor care, painting, and commercial cleaning techniques and standards.
• Knowledge of operating commercial cleaning equipment and maintenance tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sufficient visual acuity to perform tasks such as identifying areas that need cleaning or spotting safety hazards.
• Knowledge of using cleaning agents and chemicals safely, often requiring physical care, control, and precision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, climbing, and/or lifting.
• Ability to transport equipment and supplies to and from different areas.
• Moving furniture to clean behind or underneath.

WORK ENVIORNMENT:

• Working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various temperatures, dust, fumes, cleaning agents, chemicals, and outdoor elements.
• Working in an environment that is often noisy and crowded.

Flexibility is required to work varying shifts to include evenings, nights, mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays. Work may be performed during regular business hours or after business hours, depending on business needs.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
