SUMMARY: The Supervisor/Coach Trainer is responsible for supervising production work of persons with disabilities in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the SWI complex.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing assembly line activities, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to effectively lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
ABILITIES: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail is required. Must be able to effectively prioritize in order to meet deadlines . Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing, have the ability to interact successfully with individuals with disabilities, and maintain confidentiality. Must have the ability to handle stressful situations. Must be able to type accurately and efficiently.
EXPERIENCE: Experience within a manufacturing/production or workshop facility preferred. Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities on the assembly line, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production employees, fostering a positive team environment.
- Utilize office and production equipment to accomplish daily tasks ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, coordinating with personnel to ensure timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and address any production issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance against targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or factory setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
