The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing essential administrative and clerical support to the accounting department. This role involves a variety of tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and financial document processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Assist with general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed
- File and organize financial documents
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries related to accounting matters
- Other duties as assigned

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Experience: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prolonged sitting and computer use
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Ability to focus on detailed tasks for extended periods
