As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you will ensure proper accounting of revenue and cost recognition, daily/monthly reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and multi-company consolidation. You will impact our business by providing accounting support to optimize efficiency and maintain accurate records to inform financial decision-making.

As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you will ensure proper accounting of revenue and cost recognition, daily/monthly reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and multi-company consolidation. You will impact our business by providing accounting support to optimize efficiency and maintain accurate records to inform financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
- Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations
- Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
- Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
- Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
- Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive industry or a related field. Reynolds & Reynolds experience a plus.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and QuickBooks
- Demonstrated success in building consensus and working in a team environment
- Ability to complete multiple projects on time with varying timelines and priorities
- Sitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
- Standing and Walking: There may be times when the accountant needs to stand, walk around the office, or attend meetings.
- Reaching and Bending: The accountant may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment.
- Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment. Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds.
