Description
The Automotive Title Clerk is responsible for processing vehicle titles and related documents in accordance with state and federal regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a good understanding of automotive finance and legal procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process vehicle titles, liens, and releases of liens.
- Verify vehicle information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
- Prepare and file necessary paperwork with the DMV and other government agencies.
- Handle title disputes and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate title records and files.
- Assist with customer inquiries regarding title status and documentation.
- Adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to vehicle titles.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of state and federal vehicle title laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and handling documents.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Good eyesight for reading and reviewing documents.
