Job Overview: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The role involves monitoring various stages of production, conducting tests, and inspecting products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. This position requires attention to detail, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to maintaining product integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect Products: Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Specifically inspect and Dielectric Test (High Potential) switchboard product produced on all lines, according to inspection work instructions and to confirm the proper function of switchboards and electrical components, identify any product non-conformances, and ensure it meets customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements.
Testing: Conduct tests on materials and products using industry-standard tools, techniques, and equipment. This includes dimensional checks, material testing, and functional tests.
Documentation: Accurately record inspection results, test data, and any quality-related findings. Maintain detailed reports for use by management and for compliance purposes.
Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and adherence to approved specifications. Identify potential issues and deviations early in the process.
Compliance: Ensure that all products and processes comply with internal quality standards, as well as applicable industry regulations and certifications.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve quality issues by collaborating with production staff and identifying root causes. Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting process adjustments to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
Calibration: Ensure all testing and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
