Job Description

Office Coordinator needed for our government client in Towson. The Office Coordinator will provide administrative support to include answering phones, creating correspondence and coordinating events for a staff of 7. Three to six month contact position with possible extension or contact to hire consideration. The non-negotiable pay rate is $16.05 per hour.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Prepares in the preparation of personnel related documents and forms.
  • Draft and preapre variety of letters and memos.
  • Determines appropriate letter or memo format, proofreads, and edits documents for grammer, punctuation and spelling then prepares documents for distribution or mail.
  • Creates and maintains a vareity of detailed office databases and logs.
  • Accesses electronic medical records to establish, retrieve, review, update, track and revise office records.
  • Reviews and summarizes information from manual and electronic files for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Explains office policies, procedures, rules and regulations to other employees and the public.
  • Maintains calendars, schedules appointments and meetings for community events.
  • Prepares and types, photocopies and distributes meeting agendas and / or minutes.
  • Schedules, attends, and takes notes and minutes for meetings.

Qualifications :

  • Must have at least two years of administrative experience working in a fast pace office environment and a independent self starter.
  • Experience overseeing the work of others is beneficial.
  • Must have great communications and multi tasking skills.
  • Must have proficient Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills and type at least 40 wpm.
  • Must be able to work from 8 : 30 am-4 : 30 pm Monday through Friday with a 30-60 minute non paid lunch onsite.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Salary : $16
