Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room (RN CVOR)
Location: Midland, TX
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Midland, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in surgical nursing, with a strong focus on cardiovascular procedures. This position requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by managing instruments, sutures, and other sterile equipment.
• Monitor patients' conditions intraoperatively, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile and efficient operating environment.
• Ensure accurate documentation of surgical procedures in the EMR system (Cerner experience preferred).
• Prepares operating room equipment and supplies according to case needs.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families pre- and post-operatively.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Texas or compact state license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience.
• Current certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems; Cerner experience is preferred.
