Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team in a high-tech, rapidly growing Hybrid Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have expertise in perioperative nursing for cardiac surgical procedures, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care. Experience in high-volume cardiovascular surgeries is required.

Key Responsibilities:1. Intraoperative CVOR Nursing Care
- Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, aortic repairs, and vascular interventions
- Maintain a sterile surgical environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiac procedures
- Monitor patient’s hemodynamic status during surgery and respond to emergencies
- Assist the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and perfusionists in complex cardiac cases
2. Preoperative & Postoperative Patient Management
- Conduct preoperative patient assessments, ensuring patient readiness for open-heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and surgical teams to develop individualized patient care plans
- Provide postoperative monitoring and stabilization in collaboration with CVICU and cardiac recovery teams
- Educate patients and families on postoperative care, recovery, and discharge instructions
3. Emergency & Critical Response
- Respond to intraoperative emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, hypotension, and hemorrhage
- Perform advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) interventions when necessary
- Act as a primary liaison between surgical teams, cath lab, and intensive care units (ICU/CVICU) for seamless transitions in care
Qualifications & Requirements:Education & Licensure:
✅ Current Colorado RN license or Compact RN license to work in Colorado
✅ Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA) Certified
Experience:
✅ Minimum 2 years of high-volume intraoperative RN experience in CVOR
✅ Experience working in Hybrid ORs and Cath Lab settings preferred
Additional Requirements:
✅ Mandatory Flu Vaccine (No Exemptions) – Required from October 1st through April 1st
