Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week travel contract in Cody, WY. This role is within a long-term care (LTC) facility, providing essential care to residents while ensuring a high standard of nursing practice. The LPN will work night shifts and may be required to float between two floors as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist residents with daily activities, ensuring comfort and well-being.
- Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare staff to implement care plans.
- Document patient progress, changes in condition, and any incidents in the PointClickCare (PCC) system.
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Active LPN license in the state of Wyoming (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of LTC experience preferred.
- Proficiency with PointClickCare (PCC) or similar EMR systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to float between two floors as needed.
Additional Information:
- Charge Nurse Duties: Not required; RNs handle charge responsibilities.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
