Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care team in Cody, WY, for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will deliver compassionate care to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Familiarity with PointClick EMR is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document resident health status using the PointClick EMR system.
- Assist in care planning and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Educate residents and families about ongoing care needs.
- Respond promptly to changes in residents’ conditions and report to the RN or physician as needed.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and state regulations.
Required Certifications and Skills:
- Active and unencumbered LPN license in Wyoming or compact state licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in long-term care.
- Proficiency in using PointClick or similar EMR systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IV certification or experience with IV administration.
- Knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and practices.
