Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations in a long-term care (LTC) setting. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow management within the nursing home.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise nursing staff, CNAs, and LPNs, providing leadership and guidance.
- Develop and implement care plans to ensure quality resident-centered care.
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers in collaboration with medical teams.
- Monitor resident conditions and work closely with healthcare providers to adjust care plans.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety measures, and documentation standards.
- Provide support, education, and mentorship to the nursing team.
- Address patient, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to facility policies.
Minimum Qualifications:Education & Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (Required).
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
- Previous management or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Certifications & Licenses:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Preferred).
Healthcare Setting:
- Nursing Home/Long-Term Care Facility
- Provides 24/7 skilled nursing care for elderly and long-term patients.
- Focus on geriatric care, chronic illness management, rehabilitation, and palliative care.
