Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) to join our team as part of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). The ideal candidate will be certified in adult and pediatric medical-forensic assessment, examination, and documentation. You will provide exceptional patient care for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, child maltreatment, and strangulation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct medical-forensic assessments and examinations for adult and pediatric patients.
• Provide comprehensive care, including physical, emotional, and psychological support, for patients experiencing trauma.
• Accurately document patient care and forensic findings in accordance with legal and medical standards.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and legal representatives as needed for case follow-ups.
• Deliver community education on topics related to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child maltreatment, as required.
• Be available for on-call shifts after regular business hours for patient care emergencies.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) or equivalent SART certification for adult and pediatric care.
• Experience in medical-forensic documentation and patient care.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) and on-call shifts.
• Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations (including booster) required.

Shift Information:

• Weekdays: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• On-call availability required outside of regular business hours.
