Job Description
As a Repair Technician, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the installation and repair of pool equipment as well as minor cosmetic repairs.
-You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective organizational skills.
-Troubleshooting, installation and repair of pool equipment including auto-controllers, pumps, motors, filters, gas and electric heaters, salt water/chlorine generators, controls and related equipment.
-Repair and replacement of pool plumbing and valves, leak detection and repair.
-Working knowledge of general plumbing hydraulics, repair or replacement of pumps, filters, timers, pool cleaners, pool lights, blowers, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing, repair suction problems, high/low pressure problems, pump priming problems.
-Using basic knowledge of 110 volt and 220 volt electrical equipment.
-Experience in cosmetic and masonry repairs a plus.
We provide company truck and gas, company phone or reimbursement, tools, and paid vacation after 12 months. This is a long term permanent W2 position, all we need is you.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean Driving record
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Licensed Residential Appliance Installer
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must possess a current valid R.A.I.L.
- Must have a strong knowledge in swimming pool working systems, motors and pumps
- Must have knowledge of Control Boards and Heaters
- Must be familiar with the many different manufacturers and brands of equipment
- Have a proven track record of success in trouble shooting and repairs
- Be able to give estimates and make repairs on in-ground swimming pool equipment. New equipment installations. Manufacturer’s warranty equipment repairs.
- Need sufficient knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, skilled with PVC plumbing, a high degree of mechanical aptitude
- Self-starter, self-motivating and enjoy working outdoors, year-round. Good communicator and like sharing your pool knowledge with pool owners. Tactful, respectful and present a professional image to clients
-Willingness to constantly learn more about pool service, pool equipment and water chemistry
-Maintain a professional appearance (appropriate clothing, clean appearance)
-Ability to meet deadlines
