What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Coach position at Swimming Rockers Club?
Swimming Rockers club is accepting applications for a Swim Coach for our 24-25 season. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, experienced coach that can engage the full spectrum of swimmers who range from ages 6 and above. Focus will be on stroke improvement, speed technique and swimmer development.
An ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of two years experience working with youth or/and competitive swimming experience;
- Provide a Criminal Background Check;
- First Aid & CPR/AED Certificate;
- Be prepared for each practice session by developing workout plans that are appropriate for assigned group(s);
- Ability to work with children and be able to foster and create a fun environment for swimmers of different abilities and commitment levels;
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills combined with excellent organization and communication skills;
- Demonstrate an ability to motivate swimmers of all ages and abilities;
- Work well within a team environment;
- Maintain professional working relationships with all coaching staff, executive members, and parents;
- Be a positive role model to all swimmers by demonstrating enthusiasm, energy, and a high level of commitment;
- Respect and adhere to the Coaching Code of Ethics and all Swimming Rockers Club policies.
Salary will reflect the applicant’s abilities and qualifications - $1000-1500/month.
Hours: evening time weekdays and Saturdays. Part-time- 9-15 hours a week.
