What are the responsibilities and job description for the COCKTAIL SERVER - Part-time position at SWINOMISH CASINO & LODGE?
SUMMARY:
At Swinomish Casino & Lodge we strive to provide the best possible experience for our valued guests. We are seeking an outgoing, friendly and professional individual to join our team. Cocktail servers efficiently and accurately take and deliver beverage orders to guests on the casino floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Answers beverage questions posed by guests.
- Maintains knowledge of beverage menu and any special items being offered.
- Observes guests and anticipates beverage needs and completes all steps of service as assigned.
- Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to casino guests while communicating in a clear and concise manner.
- Accurately records all sales in the POS system.
- Ensures the quality and presentation meets or exceeds the expectations of the guest.
- Ensures cleanliness of beverage area when necessary.
- Complies with all alcohol awareness and service policies and procedures with regard to alcohol service.
- Performs proper table maintenance and buses tables when necessary during peak periods.
- Stocks beverage station(s) (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc.) based on anticipated need guest or venue. Completes all other cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned by management Maintains a clean and stocked beverage station and completes all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure a clean, neat work area with adequate supply level.
- Stocks beverage station(s) (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc.) based on anticipated need guest or venue. Completes all other cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned by management.
- Ensures and collects appropriate guest payment for beverage service.
- Maintains a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
- Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.
- Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules per business need.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume fine dining, casual dining or nightclub is preferred.
- In-depth wine and alcohol knowledge preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills including ability to accurately complete cash and credit transactions.
- A Class IV Swinomish Gaming Commission permit is required upon employment.
The Food Handlers law requires food handlers to be free of any disease that can be transferred through food. A current Health Card must be obtained within fourteen days and a Tips Card within sixty days of employment if deemed necessary for your position.
