Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our manufacturing team as an Assembly 1 employee. This role is responsible for assembling parts, pieces, and components in a sequential process while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety and quality standards, including proper use of PPE.
- Review work order instructions before each project.
- Position and assemble components using templates or measurements.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and verify specifications.
- Identify and report product defects.
- Complete required quality and production documentation.
- Maintain inventory of necessary products at workstation.
- Resolve assembly issues or notify the supervisor for additional support.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Use equipment and supplies efficiently to conserve resources.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior assembly experience in a metal manufacturing environment preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.
- Ability to understand procedures, instructions, and product requirements.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
- Safety-focused mindset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to vibration, forklift traffic, high noise levels, dust, dirt, grease, and outdoor elements.
- Facility may experience high heat levels during certain months.
- Required PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and fire or cut-resistant clothing.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Regular exposure to power tools and automated assembly fixtures.
