Materials Planner

Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory and Materials Planner to manage inventory levels, ensure raw material readiness for production campaigns, and support supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in inventory planning, materials coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. This role plays a vital part in ensuring on-time production and meeting customer demands through efficient material planning and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the distribution of goods to ensure inventory levels meet customer demand within defined parameters.
• Forecast future inventory needs based on sales projections, current stock levels, and outstanding purchase orders.
• Manage material commodities (not requiring release testing) to support production campaign readiness.
• Represent the supply chain function in internal project meetings, ensuring raw material availability is aligned with production timelines.
• Oversee all raw material-related activities before, during, and after production runs to support seamless campaign execution.
• Identify and lead breakthrough projects focused on improving raw material efficiency and campaign readiness.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date material master data within the ERP system.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to support vendor qualification and compliance.
• Perform additional supply chain duties as assigned to support business needs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in inventory planning, materials management, or supply chain operations.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with inventory forecasting and distribution planning.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
