Position Summary: The Operations Manager oversees the distribution of products in the most effective manner within quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversees receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance
- Ensures operational policies and procedures are followed in accordance with company standards.
- Identifies areas of improvement and establishes innovative or adjusts existing work procedures and practices.
- Coordinates with Marketing and Sales to support business
- Adheres to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation
- Ensures OSHA and DOT compliance for all staff and
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and the cycle
- Liaison between freight companies and
- Responsible for the execution of all personnel development and discipline programs; to include but not limited to training one on ones, year-end evaluations, progressive discipline and performance improvement plans
- Organizes and leads Safety
- Ensures all warehouse employees are forklift
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and
- Monitors and develops the Warehouse Manager and Evening shift S
- Responsible for clear, effective communication of all
- Manages in accordance to the company's policies and
- Responsible for reporting accurate Operations metrics.
- Responsible for accurate staffing levels, payroll hours and approving the warehouse and driver teams.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Regional Director of Operations.
- Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and
- Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
- Able to travel as needed
- Ability to work in above average stressful environment(s)

Ideal Candidate will have:
- Strong working knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting techniques as well as operational systems and warehouse management
- 7 years relevant materials management & purchasing experience
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Current forklift certification
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- University Degree/ College Degree Preferred
This position offers a competitive starting salary and comprehensive benefits program.
Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
