Seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines in the production of precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers and team members to enhance manufacturing efficiency and ensure product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines to produce high-precision parts
Read and interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, and blueprints
Perform quality checks on finished components using a variety of metrology tools
Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
Follow all safety regulations and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification in machining preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience operating 3 and 5 axis milling machines
Experience with tight tolerances and precision parts
Knowledge of GD&T
Experience with metrology/measuring tools
Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CAD/CAM software
Background in tool grinding
Familiarity with Swiss-style lathes
Knowledge of advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMMs)
Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) processes.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials up to 35 pounds
Comfortable with prolonged standing and working around machinery
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
