Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical crafts within the department, serving as a resource for maintenance guidance to craft and manufacturing personnel.
- Manage both planned and unplanned work to meet department goals and performance standards.
- Foster and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring zero harm to people or the environment.
- Lead safety discussions and conduct job-specific safety reviews.
- Drive performance through crew management, with a focus on quantity, quality, safety, recovery, and timely delivery.
- Fairly allocate and assign tasks according to business priorities and department guidelines.
- Manage crewing arrangements for both planned and unplanned work, considering team availability, equipment, and schedules.
- Apply root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to restore production when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to resolve issues and motivate them to meet objectives.
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience managing direct reports.
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (ABS).
